Kal is right about the confrontation between old and new, past and present, decadence and beauty. The mirror allow a kind of secret vision of the surrounding place showing us that there's a lot more to see.

The reflection is surreal Ruth. It's like you have taken a metaphorical slice of life and represented it in what is otherwise a blank canvas...something else I find interesting, because I see it alot in China...the wall shows us close up the age of this place...but the reflection shows it's beauty......K
