Homeless

The Wellspring is a resource centre for the homeless and disadvantaged in Stockport. They provide support, a warm meal during the lunch-time drop in, showers, clothing, health care and advice, an art group and other education.

These are some preliminary shots...I'm hoping to return here to continue the project, which hopefully will culminate in a book to raise funds for the service.

now imagine the current situation in the economy....how many more people are in the same situation as these folks are. i know it is in the news daily here in the states where another home was foreclosed on forcing ppl into???? you have some very powerful images and galleries Ruth. Monty

This subject hits home for me. Since my Father passed away last year, he was a homeless man due to mental illness and alcoholism. I have been wanting to do a project for and about the homeless. People tend to forget that these people are human and anyone can end up living on the street....and dying there.... -voted!-

I've always wondered what would happen if we stopped calling the folks who are not living in a permanent residence, who are without a house, or however we define not living like people who do have homes, homeless people, instead of "the homeless."
