This series was 24 hours in Singapore.

Tripod used Thursday night but Friday night had to improvise using whatever was available to steady the camera. I did not want to carry the tripod around during the daytime as I knew it was going to be a photo frenzy. I did wish for it by 6:30pm though. L glass, even with IS is not much use hand held in the dark. I still believe in that old adage the sharpest lens is a tripod.

Images started on Thursday night at 9:30pm to 12:30am & yes it is safe to wander around Singapore at night with a camera & tripod. I did engage with a few of the local photographers & they pointed out areas to go to for a days shooting. Thanks to all who freely assisted, whoever you are.

Photography resumed next morning, only just, at 11:30am in the rain & continued until sunset.

I did have a wickedly expensive but perfect lunch at Boat Quay. Lunch was ordered as a medium Chili Crab, a Singaporean specialty at just $6 per 100g. What I received was a 2kg monster from Sri Lanka that was alive 15 min earlier. A couple of Tigers to wash it down then my wallet was lightened to the tune of $134. Must remember next time to ask for an expected price rather than think 0.5kg at $6 per 100g was ok. Was it good ? Heck yeah!!!

My return flight, QF6 departed 10:25pm so packed the camera bag at 8pm & grabbed a taxi from the Casino. So taxi to my hotel to collect the suitcase & work laptop & then onward to Changi Airport. Fortunately being Vesak Day, a public holiday in Singapore, the airport was relatively quiet as many had left on the previous night.
