This is the first time this airshow was staged outside the US at Huntington Beach. It was held at Surfers Paradise, in the Gold Coast region south of Brisbane, Queensland. The Gold Coast is a holiday destination, especially in winter for the people in the colder southern state of Victoria. The location has a number of long white beaches suitable for an airshow. Ticket sales were pretty much a sellout so the display will be ongoing in 2024.

Frankly, the airshow was a little disappointing with the promised C-5A Galaxy and F-16 display team not in attendance. The RAAF did put in a spectacular flare display on the C-130J Hercules and the F/A-18F Super Hornet. The US Marines had an Osprey which I had not seen before.
