This 1975 Builders Labourers Federation poster says it all. Homelessness remains a Govt issue. Unfortunately our NSW right wing governments have continued to sell off public housing to developers in inner city areas with the promise to use the money to build more housing out west in cheaper suburbs. But the majority of the money has gone back into consolidated revenue. The mantra of people investing in private property to rent out has not helped and rents are too high to support those in need.
