This view is the Bondi Icebergs Club, which was established in 1929 as a winter swimming club. Now a popular watering hole, food and general entertainment. Of course, swimming as well. Great place to show off that tan and trim, sculpted body.

The curved road coming down from the centre top of the image is Bondi Road & was shared with the Sydney Tram network & was the fastest section of the tram network with a steep downhill run from Bondi Junction to the beach. As a kid I remember fearless teenagers hanging outside the tram having fun. Yes the conductor did the same.
