Night Sky

Armidale, NSW, Australia view map

This was taken after sunset with virtually no colour in the sky with my eyes. The camera is more sensitive than human eyes at low light and the afterglow colours are clearly visible as is the Milky Way due to the negligible light pollution in this region.
This is from a single RAW file, processed in LR, just using a mask for the sky and another mask for the foreground

Amazing and well done capture/processing, Russ. This may sound like a dumb question, but I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to astronomy. Is this part of the Milky Way or something similar only visible from the Southern Hemisphere? ~BV~
