Actually had clear skies tonight. Just a few small wisps of cloud. Cool though with the breeze, but not as cold as watching for the Auroras.
Best viewing from midnight to 3am when the location is the furthest away from the Sun, similar to Aurora watching.Even same lens camera combo. My 5DS is probably out of its comfort zone with high ISO but stunning star count that I get when pixel peeping is a bonus.
Foreground is light painted with distance and wanted final look determining time.
Sky and earth processed in Adobe ACR with different settings with sky using the global setting and the earth having additional locally processed sections to adjust colour and brightness from the light painted foreground. Yep, no 2 pix ever look quite the same
