Good airshow for photographers as reasonably close to the action.400mm on a crop sensor is all you will need. Paul Bennet Airshows puts on a good airshow. Aerobatics, great warbirds, licenced to fly low, so spectacular displays. I will post up an image, flying sideways about 1 m above ground

Might be the wrong time of year but January was stinking hot in Maitland though. Official temp was 36C in the shade but more like 40-44C in the Sun.
When I ran out of water, and the bottled water was the same price as a beer in an air conditioned pub, I wimped out and left. Sure did enjoy those Pale Ales in the Rutherford Hotel.

2019
Airshow now in early April. Much better. Just 30C with a light breeze. Still went to the Cessnock Hotel afterwards as a refreshing ale was appreciated as a little sunburnt. Had a broad brimmed hat which is normally great, but I was looking up into the skies, unprotected !!!
