A pair of Yellow-crowned night herons came to our back yard the first of April and built a nest about 40 ft. up in the trees where five chicks hatched about a month later. I have been fortunate to make a daily photo record of their visit. When they reach maturity they are truly beautiful birds. (Note:The "Yearlings" are last years young and came with the adults and joined in to help feed the new chicks. Amazing Birds! Please comment on any individual picture or on the gallery in general.
