These sqaubbling Cormorants drew my attention and as they approached and I realised that one had a dead Ibis chick in its beak fending off the unwelcome attentions of the others. It was sad and bizarre but a fact of nature. The bird could of course not swallow the prey and did its best to worry it into some form of edible prey. At the same time it had to fend off more sneak attacks. Here is the series with a seriously frustrated Cormorant in the last image
