Path at the Fushimi Inari shrine

Fushimi-Inari, Kyoto

This is an impressive buddhist shrine near Kyoto,
which I prefer to most others for its simplicity and amazing complex of miles of walking paths.
A great part of these are covered with hundreds of buddhist gates (torii). The atmosphere is surreal
and inspiring. There is also a beautiful bamboo forrest further up the mountain, and a gorgeous view
from the summit over the whole city of Kyoto.

I like the vibrant red of the posts and the black of the lower sections. The arcade is simply constructed yet draws you right in. V

Very well composed! Successful DOF and the architectural pattern leads your eye through the composition to the gentleman who really does have an air of mystery!
