The G Spot

Rancho Bernardo, CA

After several discussions this week about backing up one’s images, I stopped by the Apple Genius Bar (see below) to buy an additional back up drive “G Drive.” So now I’m like the guy who is wearing both a belt and suspenders.

Have you backed up your images lately?

Ever thought of backing up your images online to say a (whisper) flickr account? With a paid up account originals can be uploaded for archive purposes and tagged for easy finding. I'd like one of these though!

yes, double externals as well as the internal and massive quantities of DVD.
prob should make sure it's working since I had to low level format last weekend :(

After losing all my images for the last few months on my external hard drive I now back them up on two external hard drives and burn a cd....I lost countless shots and will never just backup on one external drive without it being somewhere else. Wasn't using the brain the Good Lord gave me, I guess.

I wish there was a format that was as durable and usuable and archival as good old film negatives . . .but since there isn't . . .I have no idea if, when I back stuff up, that it really matters . . but I DO have an external drive that is solely for pictures =)
