The Durango and Silverton

We are still doing black and white in class. This is my latest reworked piece. The original is below.

In addition to making the b/w conversion, my prof helped me see how to make improvements mostly through selecting areas and lightening or darkening them. Note how the Durango and Silverton on the side of the engine is much whiter in the new version.
Or the clouds were burned a bit for drama. Also the rails were lightened. etc.
