New Canon User

San Marcos, CA

I had lunch with my friend Jim Elliott who just purchased a new Canon. He is an avid photographer, but has a real job as an assistant City Manager at Carlsbad which takes up much of his time, so I haven’t been able to entice him into joining Pbase.

Canon EOS 40D ,Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM
1/30s f/4.0 at 24.0mm iso400 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I just bought the same set today. Problem is the 4 instructions books that came with it are, Italian, Spanish, French and of course German; I’ll have a go at the German first. You helped me make the right choice thanks Robin..:>

Really nice shot Robin. The light and skin tones, plus comp are very appealing.....

WOW - great camera - have fun Jim!

Walter Otto Koenig 19-Feb-2008 00:01
Congratulations to Jim. Nice camera and a nice lens. If he doesn't have the time, I'll give his camera a few thousand shutter clicks. I've been wanting to try out the EOS 40D.

Ron S. Bernardo 18-Feb-2008 23:56
Wow! Is that a 17-85 IS lens?

Gary Winters 18-Feb-2008 23:41
