Kissing 2007 Goodbye

Rancho Bernardo, CA

2007 was mostly a joyous year with two body blows. The loss of my dear friend and partner Michele deeply saddens me, and the firestorm of October scars the lives of Rancho Bernardo residents.

My 70th birthday party hosted by Anne was much fun and also bittersweet with all the memories with my great friends. My laughter tonight is for the joy of living, and my tears are for my losses.

Happy New Year to you all.

May this next year bring you nothing but laugher but a tear or two always strengthens you! What can I say, Robin, other than I've gotten to know you as a new friend and so happy I did. You are a great man and you have a huge heart. May 2008 be the best ever for you, my dear friend! Big hugs to you on this first day of 2008! May the years to come be a blessing for you!

Happy new year! 70?? You must be counting in dog years, because you seem to have the joy for living of a 10yo ;-)

We lost 4 ladys from the street that I have known for over 50 years, all within 4 months. My mom is one of the remaining few from the "Old Neighborhood". I'm happy she is well and able to still stay in the house we all grew up in for the past 55 years. You do great work, Robin. Here's to a good 2008. Best of luck to you.

Happy New Year, Robin. I'll, too, shed a few tears this evening for a lost friend of 54 years, then I'll sing " Auld Lang Syne" and try to get on with 2008.
