Good News!

Rancho Bernardo, CA

Many of you know that I consulted to the San Diego Fire Department for many years. Apparently those efforts paid off. They did good work along Verano Drive. According to my next door neighbors, who snuck into the still evacuated area this afternoon, both our homes are still standing. We aren’t out of the woods yet, there are still spot fires and shifting winds in the area. Keep your fingers crossed. As least this is positive news.

I need to borrow that hat sometime.
Should enable me to get into the off limits areas.

I wish you well, I have many friends in this part of the state, unfortunately not all have faired as well as you. The good news is that the winds have slowed.

must be the collective crossed fingers of PBase. I'll keep mine crossed a little longer though.

This is indeed great news, Robin. I hope that all who have not faired so well get the help from city, state, and federal government that they deserve. I am really happy for you! Oh yeah, VOTE!

That's great news, Robin. Now I need to hear the same for a friend who's a firefighter in the north county, and another friend who lives in Fallbrook, and another in Tierrasanta. Glad you could keep a sense of humor in the face of all this trauma.

Robin,
Just checked that San Diego site (www.cbs8.com) & there was a note that your Rancho Bernardo Inn has so far been spared serious damage from the fires.
