Complimentary Colors

Rancho Bernardo, CA

No SP today. You’ve seen too much of me this week, so again a shot from my neighbor’s garden.

Technical discussion: CS 3 has a wonderful quick selection tool (which is a subset of the magic wand). This tool made it painless to lift this flower from a busy background in a very short time. Then it was just a matter of choice of what color to put behind. I used Kuler from Adobe to select a complimentary hue; (remember I’m color blind and take all the help I can get)

Of course with such a clean extraction I could have added my seagull, but I didn’t want to suffer from the slings and arrows of the boos and snorts from all of you. LOL.

Good work. I've a few things I'd like to extract from my background some day... :-)

Wow... if this is what CS3 is capable of I might upgrade sooner rather than later. Nice work. Iike the gradient sky
