This is no ordinary Courthouse! My Grandfather Robert M. Reid helped build it! Moreover, he and his wife Bessie Lee King were married on the steps of the older courthouse (before it was torn down) as part of a land promotional scheme. In return they were given a choice lot by the developer, and “Pop” built the home (pictured below) for his family and that is where my Father was born!
