These shots were taken 1 1/2 years ago on the PadFest trip around Colorado. However what is new is that I've been reading Scott Kelby's, "The Photoshop Channels Book" which is a terrific hands-on compendium of how to use channels to make masks etc.
Susan's husband, Larry, recommended this to me; suggesting it might set me free. I'm quite impressed with it so far. Thanks Larry.
I also used the Smart Objects feature in Photoshop which enabled me to manipulated the sunflower without "bruising" any pixels.
The original sunflower shot is here http://www.pbase.com/rtwo/image/47705239 and the barn shot is http://www.pbase.com/rtwo/image/49221424
