That's not a lens. That's a bazooka!

Having just switched from Nikon to Canon myself, I bought this lens as my primary glass. It suites the types of images I tend to take. So...I will use your resolution as a gauge Robin. Looking forward to your usual inspiriational shots. Sorry I have missed commenting.

So how are you doing? :o) -BJ

That will be a good resolution! How can I help you keep it??
Guest 29-Dec-2006 14:49
I'm sorry for so many here...I just noticed - I think I have that exact same head. Very nice equipment, ain't it?
Guest 29-Dec-2006 14:48
Whoa....what's that I see on second glance? Looks like a 2x converter to me. I just bought one but I bought it for the 400mm. Looking to do some more birding soon. Oh...one thing with this lens I have found is heavy vignetting. (hope I spelled that close) Anyway, it's easy to remove in PS Bridge.

You shant be disappointed, my friend. It is, as you are aware, my primary. I love it! I didn't know you owned one though. You shoulda had it when we did the "mine is bigger" photo. :-)

LOL! @ Dan
Do we have a case of lens envy here? In my case, OF COURSE!
Dan Chusid24-Dec-2006 03:08
Looks complicated!
Better let me borrow it first.
: )

I´m sure we going to enjoy lot of photos by you this coming 2007!!!

It's a great lens, but too heavy for me! Good luck with your resolution -- look forward to some really crisp images!
Leo Charette24-Dec-2006 01:25
Yeah... that's a good resolution. ;)
Guest 24-Dec-2006 01:09
My thoughts exactly Cindi! But I need a 4/3 mount. lol
Elaine (etfitz)24-Dec-2006 00:35
A good resolution!
Cindi Smith23-Dec-2006 23:40
My wish is to own one like that! If you don't use it, just send it down here to Texas!

You will build a strong left arm (you are a lefty, aren't you?) I agree with Ian about the 1.4 TC.
Gary Blanchette23-Dec-2006 23:05
That makes two of us Robin. Since buying mine almost a year ago, mine has probably been on my camera a total of six times.
royalld23-Dec-2006 22:52
When I was a kid the observatory at the Haden Planeterium was the only place that had a scope like that.
Coleen Perilloux Landry23-Dec-2006 22:36
You could go to war with that.
Ian Morehouse23-Dec-2006 22:28
Try using it without the TC2 it works much better, focus speed it slow, did I say slow. Only good on stationary objects. The TC 1.4 is much better.

It is a very good lens.
Susan T23-Dec-2006 21:50
Hmmm could yours be bigger than Danny's???
Guest 23-Dec-2006 21:44
Almost the same resolution i have except mine is to own a lens like that first!
