The Crocs

Rancho Bernardo and Australia

David (Royalld) has encouraged me to try the most “comfortable shoes” he has ever worn. So I bought a pair today.

They may be ugly, but they are comfy.

I know the perspective on this shot is off, however I think it makes the point. And, the "legs/shoes" part of this picture were taken with the next lens in rotation.

Canon EOS 5D ,Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
1/60s f/5.6 at 40.0mm iso400 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Everyone seems to recommend 'Crocs'! Great image - it does look realistic!

hehehe, too funny! And I love your shoes!

"Perspective of the shot is off"?
Saw Crocs for the first time at an airport security check. The passenger being screened said she always wears them when she travels because it's so easy to slip her shoes on & off during the process.
Ditto on the LOL at Coleen. A smile so early in the day - Thanks.

Cool display Robin.

I know how they got their name. The inventor said "I have invented the most comfortable shoe in the world." And, his friend said, "that's a croc."
Cindi Smith04-Aug-2006 01:03
Pretty darned ugly, that is for sure. But, if they are comfortable, then who cares? I'm talking about the shoes. The crocodile speaks for itself, it seems.

I'm having trouble with this. Can't determine which is uglier...them shoes or that luggage.
Herb 04-Aug-2006 00:55
Good stuff from Boulder, they are ugly
Gayle P. Clement03-Aug-2006 23:41
Great way to show off those shoes. Can they really be comfortable? I've been afraid to try them.
Guest 03-Aug-2006 22:21
You know Robin, they actually taste pretty good too!
markvm03-Aug-2006 22:18
Robin's showing his tan lines...:D
Bob Foisel03-Aug-2006 20:48
I bet they let the croc bite them for the ventalation holes. Ha ha.
petesie03-Aug-2006 20:04
I bought my first pair two years ago and everyone made fun of me. Now the grandchildren and my daughters are wearing them. Just make sure you got the real thing...a fake Croc is not a croc! Way to go, Robin!

nice snap! ;-)
Guest 03-Aug-2006 19:45
they are excellent Burning Man footwear!
Stu03-Aug-2006 19:43
They wouldn't do for our climate, though!
Pepe Zyman03-Aug-2006 19:37
I think he wants Robin's shoes!
Coleen Perilloux Landry03-Aug-2006 19:27
Whooo, Mr. Cool. I wonder why they are called crocs. Real Crocs do not have holes in them.
royalld03-Aug-2006 19:24
Aren't Croc's great?
I am delighted that you find them comfortable.
By next week, after they mold to your feet, you will forget how ugly they are.
