Easter Weekend

Rancho Bernardo, CA

We are still enjoying dampness from what will probably be our last rainstorm of the Spring.

I thought my ever-present and ever-faithful Bird of Paradise would make a nice floral arrangement for the Spring holiday.

I often feel guilty about posting my BOPs. It is like shooting ducks in a barrel. So help me please, which “version” do you prefer? This one? Or the one below.

Both are nice--as you say it's a bit like shooting fish in a barrel--they make such great photo subjects. Excellent work on both.

I think I will play safe and stick with the crowd --- I like the top one because of all the colors and it shows the plant to its full glory and the raindrops certainly add to it --- well done

Yep the top one, just for all the unique color in the BOP.
Good shots, both.

I prefer the top one. I love the drops of rain.

So hard to choose; they are both wonderful. If forced to choose, I would probably pick the top one, only because the full plumage says Bird of Paradise, but yet it has the water droplets on it that make it unique.

What catches my eye isn't the flower itself...it's the wetness of the flower with the water droplets. very nice, Robin.

I'm with Coleen. Well, not exactly WITH Coleen, but in harmonic convergence with her comments below. I also prefer the first image, btw.

Very nice

Robin, both are stunning. The top one "reads" Bird of Paradise. The second one is more a wonderfully bold graphic image! A little more unusual and striking.

I like the top one, though being the flower arranging I am, I would have trimmed off the dried "feathers." Lovely composition.

Does not matter to me, they're both beautiful Robin.

Is it a bird? Is it a plant? Marvellous image - (I prefer the top one). The rain droplets add that little bit more.

Don't worry about posting what you think is 'the norm' - it's the unusual for some of us!
