February 24: Delightful Design

Interstate 15 Near Rainbow

First of all I want to thank many of you for your tolerant, kind comments about my crappy made-up image posted yesterday.

This one is at least ‘real’ if not spectacular. On our late afternoon drive back from Ontario yesterday I grabbed this image of my favorite bridge in our area.

Also note the backed up traffic on the left heading North. Part many person’s 1 ˝ two hour drive to their “less expensive” homes 60 100 miles away from San Diego’s over inflated housing market.

Here's what I want to know about Temecula. Sure all that inexpensive housing is nice, but how far is the nearest Hospital?

Too far in my opinion.

I see you took your bird on the trip too :>) That's quite some bridge.

Built right into the hillside?
Nice shot.
I couldn't survive there, right now.
This week I drove a car for the first time in more than a month.
After weeks of sailing around at 7 to 8 miles per hour,
motorists behind me got real impatient as I cruised our rental car at
20 miles an hour down US HWY 1.
I thought I was speeding.

An unusual description of a bridge, but you are right, it is delightful.

What a very interesting bridge, airy and not intimidating. Traffic? Looks normal. Is that your seagull overhead?

another flying object...but this one is for real, i think?:)

Um, I think I've lived in NY too long... I don't actually see any traffic in this photo. I do see a gull however.

Northbound traffic is one of the reasons that I take the train. Nice shot, btw.

I love the bridge and the way is separates the photo.

Nice to see a structure like this with no graffiti, Robin...

Have driven under that bridge many times going to, and coming from, Pala Casino. You have captured it well.

nice bridge!!

I thought it was Ontario, Canada, you were going to. I see it's not. What's up with the digital artifacts on the left hillside? Maybe you could renovate a room in your ranchero and sublet to one of these poor commuters. :)

12 days to go to what?

Nice shot

That bridge used to serve as a 40-miles-to-go marker from a former residence. Always felt like I was home when I passed it.

I haven't seen your pic from yesterday yet. Dare I take a peek?

very nice image , Robin
What kind of birtd is that in the upper left?

I really wonder sometimes about those individuals that spend 1000 hours a year on the road driving to and from work. I guess the band "Loverboy" had it right when they sang "Everybody's Working For The Weekend".

your guardian seagull nipped into the pic
