The Crows

Rancho Bernardo, CA

February 20: Monday Morning

I was up bright and early today (6:30 a.m.) and stepped outside to check on the chill in the air.

On of nature’s events that always thrills me is the thousands of crows which fly fairly low across the sky coming and going from their nighttime roosts at sunrise and sunset.

If you didnt read it, there was an article in the Union Trib about how the 15 has the largest population of crows in the country!

Utterly amazing that you are hitting your padanniversary again. Did you ever imagine you would stick with this project for so long. I don't think you have ever missed a day, have you? And for that matter I can't recall you posting old photos the way some of us do. You might toss in an old gull, but I think you pretty much shoot every day. Impressive.

This shot actually looks still and quiet. Very early morning. Very peaceful.

Could you explain Ms. Leaf's comment to me or is it an inside joke?

I love the half moon and the wonderful color of the sky.

Not to pic nits, but it looks like your camera was up before you :)

This is a beautiful scene but to check the chill means how long did it take you to scrape the windshield. 15 minutes in my case.

Great shot of my favorite time the day.
I have missed only two sunrises in the last month.

Incredible! Same phenomena here at my place! They migrate from one location to other crossing over my building roof very low. Is like a daily roundtrip at 7:30 am and back at 5pm. Cool shot you got! I love also the Moon and the road turn to left. It's a very nice place you have there.
