December 10: A Big Dose (of work)

La Jolla, CA

Many of you have commented on the fact that I seem to have a great deal of free time. Time to play with and even manipulate images. That is indeed true.

However this week and next, between three different clients --- “when it rains it pours” --- I have been quite busy. Now I better understand most of you who do work full time and still manage to grab a PaD shot for the day. In the winter, with less light, that must be even more of a challenge.

I feel especially good about my modest work at La Jolla Pfizer. This research and development facility is helping identify and develop drugs to fight macular degeneration (AMD), glaucoma, and diabetic macular edema; renal and stomach cancer; type 2 diabetes; and virology (HIV). I hope that my time there will help them to save lives.

The people I have met are very bright and talented and full of commitment to their work.

This is a great company with lot of research and development in new molecules making new medicines. In Mexico they are the number 1 lab (And I think int he entire world) I´m working for Sanofi Aventis wich must be number 3 lab in the world with lot of research too!!!

Good stuff Robin, and lets not forget that it is also the home of Viagra -- bringing comfort and joy the world over.

A noble profession! Hope all that research results in a better life for us all.

Good post Robin, but I don't think too many of us have trouble coming up with a PaD. (Yeah right!!)

Great textures, Robin.

I remember using great drugs made by Pfizer for sick animals. Nice textures coming through in your image.

(I assume you weren't involved with the Viagra department then! LOL)

My husband's father worked for Pfizer. We have a number of momentos of his working life there including pfizer tie pins and badges.

I am impressed---you work with Pfizer. They are a great company and gave a few million dollars for cancer research to the LSU Cancer Center a couple of years ago.
