November 28: The Early Bird Gets the Worm

Mount Vernon, Iowa

This pen and ink caricature of me was drawn by ***Taylor Jones*** in 1972 when Taylor was a student at Cornell College where I was an Associate Dean of Students. He has since become quite *** famous.***

I had forgotten about this treasure, and when I found it while cleaning out a closet I decided that I would post it.

I’m way behind on my commenting due to the exigencies of my holiday trip. I’ll be catching up the next couple of days. Thank you to all of you for your kind comments over the long weekend.

LOL... this is great. What impresses me beyond the drawing itself is the fact that you seem to be honored wherever you go. You touch so many people

OK so I'm wracking my brain trying to think of the kids song about eating a worm....
Very fun image-belongs on your desk, maybe your gulls will feel more at home with another bird around :)

Didn't realize that you had given up the "worm habit." Tough one to quit, I've been told.
