When I bought my 10D 2 ½ years ago I added the Canon EF 28 -135mm IS USM lens which has been a real workhorse. However as I have experienced the stronger qualities of the “L” series I have become more picky about light and sharpness. So I was delighted when Canon came out with their new EF 24 -105mm 1:4 L IS USM Lens.

I will be real interested to hear how you like this over time. Did you say they were also coming out with a 28-135L as well? I need a bit more zoom than 105 but the specs on this are wonderful.

Wow, good choice Robin. I just can't make myself get rid of the 28-135 even tho I haven't picked it up for months. I love that lens. Bet you do good with this one.

Lens lust is probably some kind of psychological disorder. We should probably all seek therapy. I know of many lenses I "must have" but will regret buying. ;-) Professional-looking shot.
