When I was a young greenhorn horseback riding on Colorado trails, I learned that the $3.00 pony, when it was time to return home, would start trotting toward the barn unless I could rein it back in.
That's the way I felt today, and I resisted the temptation to get on this jet rising off the Jackson Hole, WY runway. Instead I stayed with my trusty car for 400 miles of more beautiful scenery following US 89 along the Snake River out of Jackson Hole and then ending up ghosting down Logan Canyon below Bear Lake in Utah.
My day started at Old Faithful, but I blew (pun intended;-) out of there early to again get the morning sun on the Tetons. If you have never seen these mountains my advice to you is to run (don't walk) to your nearest travel agent and book a flight for September when the blue skies and gold aspen will offset the grand peaks. They are the BEST!
I have added a few more shots to my **Tetons/Yellowstone** gallery. However most of the time I didn't stop for all the incredible views. I had a bad case of just AFWL! *. Also, I have zillions of unprocessed images from my summer trip. There will probably be a new edition of Photoshop out before I finish them! ;-)
*[Just] Another F$^%ing Wyoming Landscape. LOL … Diann and Bandito will understand.
