August 16: Day Five – Pad Tour

Marble, CO


Today we drove from Montrose to Glenwood Springs via the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, a picnic by a lake enroute, and then Marble, Colorado where we went hiking, and then off-roading. As we hiked toward the Marble quarry, we found a cave where Di celebrated the fun we are having with the Pad Fest 05 inscription. '

Doggoneit...no I didn't see that. And we went in this "cutout". I'm not sure why, but it was intentionally "shot" out. You can see the "boots" where the drill holes weren't completely broken out. I found it very interesting. We are going back and this time, I'm taking the truck. We were on the bike so we didn't get to see the Crystal Mill.

While in Marble did you drive up toward Schofield pass to see the Water mill. Great trip sofar.

This is such a fun, cool image of how much fun we're having this week! Nothing beats PaD Fest!!! I'm glad you shot this right before they arrested her for defacing property - now we're gonna have to bail her out, too! Great job, Robin.
