The **Broadmoor Hotel** is a World Class Five Star destination resort comparable to the Hotel Del in San Diego or the Greenbrier in West Virginia. Besides 11 restaurants, 3 championships golf courses, spa, swimming, tennis, ice-skating, and hiking, it is near the mountains with access to Pikes Peak, Cheyenne Canyon, and other attractions. It was established in 1918 by Spencer Penrose.

For us natives this grand old dame has always been the place to go for great food and fun. Many think its quaint charm (not quality) has faded in recent years after the IRS forced the El Pamor Foundation to sell it to a private commercial owner.
