Day 8: Strater Hotel – Durango Colorado

Durango, CO

I'm blowing out of town today after a quite pleasant stay in Durango with my friends. This historic hotel (1887) will give you a flavor for the charm of this town. It is quite a resort location as well as year-round home for thousands of residents.

This part of Colorado might not be as well known as the ski resorts of Aspen and Vail, yet it a must destination for any serious visitor to this State. See http://www.durango.org/ for more information.

I'm off to Santa Fe.

Your picture and angle is much nicer than the one I posted. I have one from that angle with my old sony. I was waiting for the local troops to go by from where we waited for the parade. Oh well.

What a cool building, too bad they don't make them like that any more.

Dang! I was going to say if you were somewhere near Ouray this weekend, I'd take a putt out to see ya. Don't wanna ride to Santa Fe though. I love Ouray this time of year. Hell I love Ouray anytime of year.
