The Pitch

Petco Park, San Diego

At the Aztec Invitational
This shot was a joy to take and to produce. My Canon 10D has a rapid fire feature that enabled this scene which was helped along by Photoshop.

Week # 1

Sam, It has been so long I don't remember all the detailed settings. I can tell you I had a layer for each succession of his pitch. I then used the pen tool (with image enlarged) to trim out around the man and get rid of the surrounding grass etc.

I love this shot and the others like it. I do lots of baseball shots. Which tool did you use to isolate the figures? It's so tedious (even with my tablet) and I'm never satisfied with the edges. What kind of setting on feathering, etc., do you use? I was hoping this one would have an explanation like the others...........

I like this, I'm still trying to do something like this the old fashion way with strobes and multiple exposures, disapointing results thus far. Perhaps I should give in to the dark side and use PS. (lol, I'm not really a PS bigot. I just prefer working with my camera).

nice of the other folks to stay so still for you. . . the rapid fire effect of the Canon is one of the nifty features that is luring me to it. . . .but the Nikon . . .well it has a draw too . . . decisions . . . .money . . .*sigh*

Cool effect. Our Houston Cougars were the first to play there I understand. I hope you'll share more pics of the new stadium.
