I have just returned from a trip to Colorado. Sunday my sister invited my favorite professor from Colorado College to brunch. It was great to see the man who has influenced my devotion to history so much. Bill is 92 and is as sharp as ever. His LST was sunk in the Channel on D-Day with very few survivors. He returned from the war to Columbia Univ. where he got his Ph.D and passion for teaching and helping others.
