When I flew to the NW in late May, a major goal was to see Susan who has not been well for several years. I just learned from her husband Larry that she died today on her birthday.

I met her in September 1974, and we had a grand passionate love that became a good friendship that lasted over the past 37 years.

She was from San Diego and was the person who introduced me to this wonderful city. She taught me that love is unconditional; she loved all kinds of critters, and had a heart that reached out to myriads of people with an intuitive sense of respect, understanding and love.

Susan knew she had less that a year when I saw her in May, and she had a spiritual and positive attitude about her condition. If anyone deserves Heaven, she does.

Farewell good friend …. You remain with me as I continue my journey here on earth.
