Fixing the problems

Rancho Bernardo, CA

I know most of you are adept at improving your images. Yesterday, for the life of me, I couldn’t figure out how to get rid of the shine on Tom’s forehead and nose. Using the clone tool, or applying an action (purchased at $25.00) were suggested.

A seatmate in my Illustrator class, just use the patch too. It was an easy fix.
The stray hairs were removed with black paint. (BLUSH) .. I’m glad I’m still learning.

Heck of a good portrait to begin with !

try sometime to take the raw and do an underexposed shot to flatten the shine or even remove it. Then, you make a HDR overlay in PS. The hair under the ear was not disturbing in my view, the extra on top was for sure. Use the blur tool to blur the edges around the back of the head, Robin. The portrait looks better when you blur the back edges like all around the hair edge, the edge of the neck. Try how far you can do the rear part of the shirt behind the neck and on right side of the neck.

Patch tool is so much more forgiving than clone!

I have a great software that gets rid of a lot of stuff you don't want but it can be overdone sometimes. You did a fantastic job on this!!!
