Omaha Beach, Normandy France

On Saturday we are observing the 65th anniversary of D-Day (6th of June 1944). In the Fall of 2000 I participated in a multiday tour visiting all the invasion beaches along the Normandy coast.

This is a German bunker above Omaha Beach.

Such a sobering site. So much loss. Such amazing courage. Incredible determination. Perseverance in spite of the tactical errors. My debt to them.
