This shot has an interesting history. While “doing lunch” at Jake’s in Del Mar with my good friends Jack and Corinne, I was struck by the beauty and activity right outside our window.

I shot an eight frame pano, and reduced it using CS4’s new “Content Awareness Scale” feature which allows you to reduce the width of a photo where there are less interesting features.

I wanted to catch the various activities on the beach but did not want the whole length the scene. So I “squeezed it.” It is not a perfect effort yet was fun to do.

At the end I convereted to LAB to punch in more color.
