JOKE AND NO JOKE

Hats off to all of you who figured out that my 4/1/09 post was an April Fools Day “joke.” I did decide to wait until April 3 (GMT) before posting again just to maybe make you think I was serious.

Tuesday I lost my car keys which was no joke, and I had no backup set (now where did I put that backup set?) The Lexus is a keyless system, so I had to have the car towed to the dealership where they “flashed” a new set (two to be safe). Along with the tow, the 25,000 mile service, and having the auto detailed I spent way too much money. And I had no choice. Red faced I am! Major blush.

They gave me a loner car, and today as I headed off to class, I grabbed my zipped folder with my class notes I was stunned to see the original key set. But today it was way too late to cancel the work. So this afternoon I retrieved my car, paid my bill, and slinked home.

Do I feel stupid!
