Rain in Southern California

San Diego, CA

Rain is rare in Southern California. The average annual precipitation in San Diego County is less than 11 inches! We have a big storm this week. I love it, and even ventured out onto the highways.

Oh, yes, I remember a song “It never rains in Southern California...” or something like that.
You could take a very good advantage of the unusual weather taking this vibrant and lively colourful version of a rainy day.

We once drove from San Diego to LA in heavy rain. It was scary... people were just falling off the road! fortunately it was the only rainy day in three weeks.

Now comes the slippery slide when that oil on the tarmac gets wet & rubber wont grip...I see it's already begun in the bottom shot :>(
