Equality

Rainbow Ridge, CA

While I was in Austin a little public debate broke out along Verano Drive. “No on 8” guarantees the same rights to gays and lesbians as for the rest of us. My neighbor to the south disagrees.

does "no on 8" mean they want to keep it as is, or does it mean they want to rescind? I can never keep propositions straight . . . I have complete equality in misinterpretation & misinformation

which is why I'm still single =))))
heheheheh

I agree--NO ON 8.

Well Royalld, I thank God I won't be around in 200 years. Who knows, with the way things are going, by then people will be fighting for the right to marry armadillos.

This coming election will be more heated than any in recent times. We're battling all sorts of issues while trying to keep our heads above the economy or lack thereof.

Yes, this sign is on my front lawn.

And given the perspective of the shot I wonder how Robin feels... ;o) BJ

Agreed

Amazing that this is even on the ballot this time around. We will be voting No on Prop 8.
Cindi Smith23-Oct-2008 01:25
Interesting viewpoints....one against, one for...the American way, the freedom and right to vote whichever way you feel you should. At least for now, we can do that.

Staying out of the political arena, at least we can debate these issues, and proclaim our
view, then give everyone an opportunity to express their views (vote). And out votes do (????) count.

A similar proposition is on our ballot, too.
Two-hundred years from now, I wonder how our decendants will view the issues we struggle with today. They will likely think many of us were shallow and silly.
