I like the way that the sun glare granulates the snow in thin and thick elongated vertical patterns through openings in the fence staves where snow has not encrusted and casts deep shadows as well...as though a heavenly sun star has descended amidst the fir trees and leafless birches to show the freed person from Plato's cave the difference between the relationship between objects - the differences between shadows and reality, the true source of the shadows as the eyes, with some pain, adjust to the sun's blinding rays.
