Nestled in a hollow on Fairystone Park Rd near Philpott Lake, Terry and Charlotte Lester have created an oasis of color. It was a wonderful discovery when we came across their farm. If you want to enjoy a few hours of browsing through their nursery, just take 57 north of Martinsville, VA and take the Fairystone Park turn off, and just before you enter the park, take a left on Union Bridge Rd, which becomes Fairystone Park Rd. Their nursery will be on the right about 8 miles up the road. They are open most weekends, but call their home (540) 929-4753, during the week before driving up to make sure they will be there.
