Traveling on the old Great Northern Railroad right-of-way on the east side of Stevens Pass. The tracks were perched on a ledge blasted into the granite, over one hundred feet above the river below. Today the tracks cross the deep gorge on a spectacular steel truss bridge, just out of sight to the right of the image.
