-—› The basic colors and patterns between the male and female are similar except for the hind wings. The females have a brownish hue
but those of the male are black like the forewings and also have a large vibrant brush of red-orange on the inner top edge of the
hind wings, that is usually only visible during flight. Females also have a has a small red spot on the forewing sholder.
-—› This species is from the regions of S. Mexico, Colombia, and Ecuador.
