We've always had skunks coming to visit our backyard. The old cats completely ignore them, and the skunks ignore the cats. However, our baby Pete is fascinated with them. He watches them and follows them around the yard. He hasn't been sprayed yet, and we're hoping that he'll get over his fascination with them before he does get sprayed.
