This portfolio is a collection of snapshots from my days in graduate school at the University of Colorado. Nothing artsy here! It is intended primarily for my friends from grad school. It is hoped that they will enjoy the pictures of themselves, friends and events that they experienced even though the pictures are not all very good. I have included a small section of recent pictures, so people can see how we have all changed in the nearly 30 years since grad school. I would enjoy receiving and posting recent pics from friends.
Most of the pictures were taken with an Olympus OM-2 35 mm camera. The negatives were scanned with a Nikon Coolscan V scanner. Due to the large number of pictures I did not optimize the scanning process or "photoshop" the pics. The original scans are ~6000x4000 in resolution (~66 MB in TIFF format or 4 MB in jpg format,) and they were reduced to ~800x540 resolution for posting here.
Please do post comments about the pictures or the events depicted, and do check back occassionally to look at other people's comments or any new pictures. This is a public database, so I have not included last names of any people or any other personal information. If you would like to post your contact information, such as e-mail addresses or phone numbers, that's fine with me.
If any of my friends would like better copies of pictures please let me know. I can post better pictures (better processing or higher resolution) or send you files or prints. If you are an old friend you should know how to contact me by e-mail (through other friends or APS.)
I will keep the pictures posted at least through the 2006 Holidays, so enjoy them while they are there. They may disappear next year.
