6 Dec, firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire in the 600 block of East 3rd. On arrival crews had fire showing, the back porch was well involved and fire extended into the structure. Crews worked early into the following morning to ensure complete extinguishment. The investigation was turned over to Burkburnett Police and the most probable cause was a grill igniting the wooden porch. No injuries occurred as a result of the incident.
