Pohang, The steel city of Korea

Pohang is the number one industrial city of Gyeongsangbukdo, where world-famous steel manufacturers like POSCO, INI steel, Dongguk steel etc. are located in. Fishing was the main occupation of this seaside town prior to the establishment of POSCO in 1968. The past four decades saw its rapid emergence into an advanced industrial city of the pacific.
