Every few weeks the public are invited to take a cruse on this historic ship which is maintained and berthed at the Queensland Maritime Museum in Brisbane. We were lucky enough to be invited to look around the engine room, and I was also invited to look into the stoke hold where the boilers were being fed. I am very grateful for this glimpse of what it was like during the Steam Age. As you can see from the photographs, only volunteers that love ships and steam engines would be willing to work in these conditions today.
